Crafting the Future at the Cultural-Tech Strategy and Product Innovation.

Hello, friends! Here is your weekly dose of my unfiltered, slightly quirky musings! Last week, while discussing my work with some friends, two asked, "How did you transition from fashion to tech?/What do you actually do?

I've been asked this question multiple times because, despite not being a developer, I do have a basic knowledge of HTML, thanks to my three years of work at Girls in Tech Brazil. While I won't delve into all the details of my journey from fashion to tech in this post, it's a story I might publish at some point. I do love a good biopic, though... ๐Ÿ’ญ๐ŸŽฅ ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿปโœจ๐Ÿคญ

I will share how my background in fashion design, marketing, and trend forecasting plays a crucial role in my day-to-day responsibilities. These skills help me predict how people behave or will behave based on tech and societal developments.

In my role as a Global Cultural-Tech Research Director | CX & Future Strategies, I navigate the intersection of culture and technology on a global scale. With a primary focus on cultural-tech research, I analyze how technological trends are shaped by and impact diverse cultures and societies worldwide. My perspective extends beyond regional boundaries, involving a comprehensive analysis of global cultural dynamics and the pivotal role of technology in shaping these landscapes.

At the core of my role is a strategic emphasis on Customer Experience (CX). I orchestrate positive and meaningful interactions between customers and our brand, product, or service by delving into customer behavior, preferences, and expectations. This contributes to developing strategies aimed at optimizing the overall customer journey, recognizing the importance of creating seamless and engaging experiences for long-term success.

Beyond cultural-tech research and CX, I play a key role in shaping future strategies and innovation for organizations. This involves anticipating upcoming trends, technological advancements, and shifts in consumer behavior. By adopting an innovative and forward-looking approach, researchers like me play a crucial role in positioning organizations to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving global landscape.

Someone with a diverse background like mine, including fashion design, a master's degree in marketing and trend forecasting, and expertise in anthropology, psychology, and art history, has a unique and well-rounded skill set that can be a tremendous asset in becoming an exceptional Global Cultural-Tech Research Director | CX & Future Strategist. Here's how this varied background can contribute to success in this role:

โ€ขCultural Sensitivity and Understanding (Anthropology and Psychology): These disciplines provide a deep understanding of human behavior, cultural nuances, and societal trends. This insight is invaluable when analyzing how different cultures interact with technology and how these interactions shape broader trends.

โ€ขCreative and Aesthetic Insight (Fashion Design and Art History): A background in fashion design and art history brings a keen sense of aesthetics and creativity. This is crucial when considering the visual and experiential aspects of customer interactions. Understanding design principles and art trends can inform strategies that resonate with a global audience.

โ€ขTrend Forecasting Expertise (Fashion Design and Marketing): The combination of a fashion design background and a master's in marketing and trend forecasting equips the individual with the skills to identify, analyze, and predict trends. This is a key component of the role, especially when shaping future strategies and staying ahead of industry shifts.

โ€ขCustomer-Centric Approach (Marketing): A master's in marketing enhances the ability to develop customer-centric strategies. Knowing how to effectively communicate and engage with diverse audiences is crucial for crafting positive and meaningful customer experiences.

โ€ขInterdisciplinary Problem-solving (Cross-disciplinary Knowledge): The diverse academic background allows for a holistic approach to problem-solving. Drawing on knowledge from different fields fosters creative solutions and a comprehensive understanding of the complex interactions between culture, technology, and consumer behavior.

โ€ขStorytelling and Communication Skills (Anthropology, Psychology, Art History): These fields often involve narrative construction and effective communication. Being able to tell compelling stories about cultural insights, trends, and future strategies is essential, especially when communicating with diverse stakeholders.

โ€ขInnovation and Adaptability (Fashion Design and Anthropology): The ability to innovate and adapt is ingrained in the fashion design process and anthropological research. This mindset is critical in staying ahead in the rapidly evolving landscape of cultural-tech research and future strategy development.

By leveraging my diverse background, I bring a unique perspective to the table, combining analytical rigor with creative intuition. This broad knowledge allows for a more nuanced understanding of the intersection between culture and technology, enhancing my ability to shape effective customer experiences and future strategies on a global scale.

Fashion is and will always be my first passion๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŽจ, but when I worked in the industry, I missed the human aspect on the customer side, and that's how my journey began.
